You probably know from previous posts that Mike and I are very involved in the Grand Junction Lions Club. Once a year we do a fundraiser, the Lions Club Carnival which is held every February. This carnival, and the raffle that goes along with it, raises money which benefits the Grand Valley, in amounts of up to and over $150,000 per year. This money has benefited local organizations such as the Marillac Clinic, Roice Hurst Humane Society, Orchard Ave. Elementary, The Riverfront Project, Two Rivers Convention Center, Colorado Mesa University, Little Sprout preschool and many more! Nearly 5 million dollars have been raised and given back to the community through this one event by this one organization.
Right now we are in our prize collection phase for the raffle. This means that we are asking businesses in the community to donate prizes to be given away during the raffle, which helps us raise money for the community. Your business name and prize amount will go into all raffle ticket books so you get marketing exposure. This raffle is an opportunity to give back.
If you are interested in giving back by donating a prize, or want to know more about the Lions Club Carnival, we’d be happy to talk with you! Help us give back to our community!
